About Me
After having my first daughter in 2016, I realized that the proverb, "it takes a village..." could not be more true. I thought I had my village in place, a supportive network of friends and family, but I still struggled with an overwhelming sense of mental and physical exhaustion. What I didn't realize at the time was that I was missing a critical link in my village: a postpartum doula. Luckily, with the birth of my second daughter I had the support of a treasured postpartum doula to help and encourage me through my most transformative days. Her presence ensured I had a more bonded and beautiful postpartum experience.
My personal postpartum experiences, along with my previous seven years as a master level social worker supporting women and children, have been the driving force behind my passion to support other mamas through the often overlooked and under-supported "4th trimester". I believe every mother deserves support- emotional, physical and practical during her postpartum period. I love learning about a family's unique postpartum goals and supporting, empowering and cheering them on as they achieve them. It would be a privilege to walk alongside you as you welcome a baby into your home and assume your most important role yet: mama (or mama again!).
I live in Peachtree City, GA with my husband of 13 years, my creative, loving girls ages 7 and 4 and two rescue cats. When I'm not doula-ing I am making arts and crafts with my girls, tending to my houseplants or researching where to travel to next!
It has been an absolute dream come true to start The Supported Mama with my best friend and sister-in-law, Hannah. We are honored to support families within the community we love and beyond!
