Couples Therapy.

I can help you and your partner identify the “cycle” that is happening within your unique relationship and then find new ways to share your emotions with each other. I will help you both learn how to hold each other’s vulnerability in a way that fosters connection, safety and bonding.

Do you and your partner find yourselves in the same kinds of arguments over and over? Sometimes, we can see it happening and still can’t find a way to stop it. Maybe you feel like your partner isn’t hearing you or you are looking to deepen your connection with each other.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a therapeutic approach that is grounded in attachment theory. All humans have attachment needs, longings and fears- influenced by intimate relationships (like with our parents and partners). You may wonder “Am I enough? Am I too much? Do I matter? Will they stay?”

When these deep emotional needs are not met or missed by our partner, we experience pain, fear or loneliness. These are the moments when relationships get “off-balance” or feel disconnected. Often, we are not aware of our own emotions, and instead rely on our automatic response – to get angry, pursue, or withdraw.

It is truly a beautiful process that improves connection and communication in relationships! I cannot wait to show you.
